Flag Corps flag holder

Sylvania Northview High Schools band director has asked me to make a flag holder for the bands flags.  After looking at several designs, Ive settled on an upright unit with holes, so that the flags can easily be slipped in and out and the kids cant pack any trash into it (they wouldnt do that, right?).

Using pine, Ive cut the top and bottom sections, and clamped them together.  Using a 1-3/8" forstner bit, I start by drilling the holes for the poles.  Ive laid out my spacing pattern using a piece of pegboard, centered on the work piece, and marked each hole location.


Ive also made a pair of legs for the sides.  Most edges will receive a roundover to smooth the edge, including the holes...
